Interested in the opinions of Vortech owners. I've glanced at a few youtube videos with guys using one MP40 on 125-150 gallon aquariums and appears to still provide a fairly decent amount of flow. Any thoughts on an MP40w ES for a 150? Any input is appreciated.

    Here's one MP40 on a 150.

Best by far out of any pump, but not to much that it pulls the sand up. My devils hand sets right in front of it less then a 1" away and doesnt bother it. The only issue i had though was my sand sifting star decieded to climb on the wet side well it got stuck on there backwards cause of how much suction there is and lots a arm.

For anything short of SPS, a single one will be fine, as long as you have an open rockwork layout.
The ES also has a mode to be mounted on the back wall. Have not read up on it enough to know exactly what it does different, but it is there.

The power of these really tapers out after 4 feet. If you have lots of rock, you will end up with dead spots on the far side.

I run 2 of these on my 150. One on each end facing each other. I also run 4 K1400's on the back wall for extra randomness and dead spot fixing. I have a TON of rock though, as well as SPS dominate tank.
