Or should say, Ugly "fishling" :-/

    Hard to believe that this:

    Juvenile Yellowtail Coris Wrasse

    (Coris gaimard)

    Grows up into this:

A very pretty fish: Photobucket SlideShow

(Juvenile is really quite a nice looking fish also. Good Nano candidate. As long as can move to larger tank when it matures)

That's really cool! and what a pretty fish either way. Isn't there an angle that is kind of the opposite, its prettier as a juvenile than as an adult. I want to say its the French Angle......

There are a number of angelfish that lose distinct colorations as they grow older. I know the Koran Angel is one.

Also my Coral Beauty is much darker then couple of years ago.

Only really shows color when it periodically goes nuts, racing madly back and forth in tank sideways with fins fully expanded and showing off all kinds of color. Will do so for at least 5-10 minutes at a time.

Haven't a clue why or what sets it off. - but all other fish steer clear when this is going on.

Maybe just showing other fish it is the big daddy/momma of the tank? :-/

Great looking fish. A friend of mine had one not long ago that used to flip his snails over. They are carnivorous predators and love inverts of all sorts, so id watch adding this one if u have any snail, shrimp, crabs etc.

Great looking fish thou, and like all wrasse, has a great "never say die" attitude.
