Turbo Start Question

Allow me to re-interpret your post from my experiences.

I have never used this product nor have I ever tested it so I can't say anythong about it. Here's what I know about the initial cycle. If nothing dies, no Ammonia (or very little) is produced. One can do this with fully cycled live rock that gets put back into a tank before die-off happens or rock that has absolutely nothing left on it to die. No bacteria product is needed.

You've added two variables. Live rock and this product. One can only test for 1 variable. How do you know what was from the LR and how much is from the bacteria? You really don't know.

 

I know the amount of L/R was two fist size pieces, Not enough to make a tank Not have a Cycle! The Major Variable was the Additive IMHO. You can not say for sure that It did not help either! Works both ways JMHO

Bill, look at my original post on this thread. I did not say this is a useless product. I researched, expressed some concerns, but I've not made any opinions on this product at all. I'm from Missouri....the Show Me State.

I'm always leary of products that say one can stock their tank instantly. They've been around forever and MOST don't work. I'm sure you can understand why I'm taking the conservative route since I've never tested it.

It's all good, I actually lived In Missouri for a couple of years (Mt Vernon) near Springfield. I was never one for useless potions but this product IME seems to be legit and worked very well for me and I have been In the hobby for almost 30yrs. Did not mean to dis your opinion and sorry If i offended you. If you want to skip the cycle so to say, Give It a try next time you start one from scratch and you will be pleased with the results, No snake oil here LOL8)

BTW, I audited a company in Monett, MO for many years. When you spend a couple weeks in a hotel in Monett, you find yourself in Mt Vernon to go bowling because one can only watch so much TV
