Tranfering tanks....

    Yeah, I pretty much did this with my recent 55-90 upgrade, corrailline and grinder have ya on a good path. The only thing I did different was scrap the water too. I just filled the tank and added salt to it and mixed it in tank, then added my new sand(reefrocks prerinsed, comes for shipping cost if you buy like $40 of rock, both are GREAT, highly reccommend), then I let it run with some pods and live sand from my tank, and added a bit of fish food to feed the pods for a week, then transferred everything over. It did kinda require me to keep the 55G rockscape in tack and just add a new island of to the side of it, but I like it that way.

    dude, did you check out elwolfes 90g build thread? Some GREAT ideas in there, may wanna look it up. I know I'm gonna steal some ideas from it.

    I agree with this advice, only thing I did differently on my first upgrade, and am doing again on my next one, is I used Arag-alive live sand. It is more expensive - but it is really clean (no dust and debris in the sand) and I think the extra bacteria helped me upgrade without even a minor change in parameters - it was basically like doing a big water change. It looks like others have had success without doing that, and I am sure it is just fine, but thats my 2 cents :)
