So, I got a large toadstool yesterday afternoon. It's polyps are not fully extended and the stalk looks a bit limp. Is this normal? How long do they usually take to settle in.
    All specs are fine.

Just give it some time. It's looking good. It may take a couple of days to two or three weeks for any coral to get used to a new tank.

Thanks for the responses guys. I still worry a bit because I had the same thing happened to me with a beautiful pink finger leather. After a week, it just melted away to nothing. I hope the same doesn't happen to this toadstool. All the polyps are opened it's just the stalk is limp.

I would give it a day or 2 and if your toadstool still has weak polyp extension then I would add a little more current to it that usually does the trick for my toadstool's it does take a few days for them to settle in to a new tank. Keep us updated.
