Phosban reactors come with a ball valve to adjust flows so using a pump or powerhead slightly larger than suggested is no ta problem, just vale it back a little.

is a rio 800 to big of a pump. its about 1.5 feet hose from the pump to the reactor. doesnt seem to be doing any damage. just a nice tumble. it has a ball valve that i can close a little but i have it all the way open right now.

you might want to look into Seachem Seagel, I just started using it in my TLF reactor and so far have had good results. It's a mixture of Phosguard and Matrix Carbon. It is aluminum based so you will need to make sure and test for Phos. so that once the media is saturated you change it out so it doesn't leech back in.

I started out with about 250ml in my reactor for my 55g, only positive things so far. Chemi Pure Elite is another combo media, but I have not tried that one yet.
