    just took him out, damn hermit crabs were eyeing him up, some on him, don't think he stood a chance, you shouldn't care about a dumb fish, but it sucks

    what should I test for water conditions, I just did a water change on Tuesday, I should have been in good shape, water came from same spot i've always gotten my water from.

    Ammonia and nitrites, salinity would be a good start. Sorry to hear about the fish.

    also you have to be pickey about where you get them from!! i have heard that people use bombs to knock them out so they can cacth them, and it slowly eats away there inside. copper can be harmfully too.

    Just curious but how long did you let your water sit before doing the change? I made the mistake of doing a change too soon and I guess there was still some undisolved salt and the pH didn't get a chance to stabalize, lost two fish. Sorry to hear about your loss.
