okay . i posted about this before about my foxface. it was getting skinny to the point you could see its bones. recently it has slowed down for the foxface. today i saw the same thing happening to my lawnmower blenny.
is this simply just it not eating enough? or do you think it actually has to do with the fact that there is a problem?

probably not eating enough. I can see your stock list in your sig, and you have way too many algae grazers. At least for the tangs and foxface, you can put algae sheets in there like mad. I would expect to go through 2-3 entire sheets a day with that kind of stock. But chances are the blenny is not going to go for sheets :-/

good question , if the algae grazers in your system are all competing for natural algaes, then you probably wont have enough to sustain them, or if you do, your tank would look a mess

if you offer alternative plant materials like nori, lettuce, spinach etc - the Tangs would eat this, leaving more of the available algaes for the blenny

Rubberband an algae sheet to a piece of rock and drop it in the tank near where the blenny hangs out.

I personally would not drop the rock with algae next to where to Blenny hangs out as the other fish will cramp his space and cause stress. A better idea is to soak some of the algae sheet until it becomes soggy and then mash it up and put some in the tank. The algae will get blown around and settle and the Blenny will find it.
