Tank crashed

What a downer! Hey, it may not be one of the recalled heaters but I would still call them and tell them how much money their heater cost you, who knows, they may help you out somehow.

 

We have had temp heating issues with our stealths days back when we 1st got them. After having my New AC JR, It cut an end to a hot tank, (would get up in the high 80's in the summer time and low 80's in the winter. But nothing up to the extent of them breaking tanks and exploding like I've been reading.


Grinder, If the stealth is what you believe caused the issue, I would still contact marineland. They may think everything is fine with the current models for sale, but only way they will know is if more people call.

I personally would give them a jingle. I switched over the the Fluval M Series and man these rock ... They arent the nicest looking in the tank but... Effective.

 

Thanks guys.But yes,i'm positive the heater is to blame as it was still hot when i pulled it out,and with a tank temp of 96,the thermostat should not have been calling for heat.I also (later on)plugged it in and held it with turning the temp all the way down it heated to past the point of being able to hold it,which took several minutes,but i then pulled the plug as i didn't want it to pop.
I think i will give them a call,i suppose the worst they could do is nothing
