    Dr Frag,

I got a 6 bulb TEK fixture with the following bulbs. I would like to know if this is sufficient for coral growth? I'm loving the blue color its giving out.

    Back to Front:

    ATI Blue+
    UVL 454
    UVL 454
    Fiji Purple
    UVL 454
    ATI Blue+

I'm not sure how much PAR each is giving out, I'm keeping only softies and LPS. I will not keep any SPS.

I also have 2 UVL Aquasun to replace any if needed.

Forgot to add, it's going over a 40g breeder. 36x18x16

    Thanks!!!

Thats more than enough light for coral over a breeder, its blue but fine.. If you wanted to swap the aquasuns in for a little less blue but the overtly blue tank will help tank some of the PAR out so you don't initially cook your new pieces..

What do you have/plan on having?

i could most definetly hang the unit, and i understand now, that any 30" fixture will have 24" bulbs... what are your thoughts on the 4 bulb version of what you posted??

Its alright... You aren't going to have great penetration all the way down, esp with the stock lamps but you will be alright..

Thats fine. I would be afraid that if you added higher PAR lamps some of your deeper water LPS esp red trachyphyllias would not do well..

I have a NOVA EXTREME PRO and want to hang it from the adjacent wall. Is anyone familiar with this hanger and do you know if it will work on my light? I am also trying to figure out how to use it without hanging it from the ceiling. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Hey Doc,
I read that the KZ Fiji Purple made yellows and greens look really bad. What's your opinion on that?
Also, I realize this is totally a matter of preference, but how do you feel about this on a 6x54:
    DD Pure Actinic
    DD Aquablue+
    DD Actinic+
    KZ Fiji Purple
