SW to FW

    one question, i have a saltwater tank i want to turn into a freshwater tank. because im going to put all the saltwater stuff into a bigger tank. can it be done? should it be done?

    I don't think it would be a problem, just make sure to wash out the tank well. A little salt left may not be that bad.

    Turning your salt water tank into a FW should be just fine. It's going from Fresh to Salt that you have to watch out for...

    Your ok since your upgrading your SW tank :hehe: Seriously though you should be fine, the reason why FW to SW could be a problem is because copper medication may have been used in tank, not your case though.

    Why not go into brackish? Best of both worlds!!!
    ...A little left over salt? no problem!
    ... Ran out of salt? No problem!

    Should be fine. I actually add a little salt to my FW everytime I do a water change!
