sump question

    Tank is about a month old. Fully cycled just got done with the diatom phase had them for about 8 days. My question is how do i keep the sump clean. Mine goes into chamber one with rubble rock then chamber 2 with mineral mud and skimmer and chaeto then return. I will post a pic. It is a old one when tank was set up. But now the return side is dirty

    Ok that sounds good. I have a sponge in mine. Will the copepods be able to get through that?
