Sump cracked...

    So my 40 breeder cracked at some point in the night. Should I take the time to redo it in my other spare 40 breeder or use a 20l? I deisgned the stand to fit the 40 but there is very little room under the stand for anything else is the problem. I guess what I am asking is is the extra water volume worth having no room under the stand? My tank is like 60 to 65 gallon sps tank with 2 clowns 2 chromis and a tomini tang.

    Personally if those are the only fish your intending to keep id say to go with the 20l.if your going to add more then go with the 40

    I might add one or two small fish or maybe one larger fish but I dunno. I can never decide on what I want lol.

    After thinking about it I think I'm gonna use the other 40. With the amount of drain back I get between tank and Skimmer and what not the 20 will be like almost half empty. Man I was really looking forward to having some extra room though.

    I used silicon to seal inside crack and jb weld in the out side on mines and it still works no leaks and it cracked at the bulkhead.

    I had done that on my previous 20l that was a fuge also around a bulk head. I think this cracked from the acrylic divider being to tight maybe though so I don't know if it will hold for sure.

    Got the dividers out and ready to get siliconed into the new sump. I Aldo added a probe holder while it was out.

    Thinking it might have been the long piece was to tight I trimmed an eighth off it...hopefully that will prevent this one from cracking.
