    Should fit fine. A typical 30g tank is 36" long. Perfect fit. And the legs on those lights can be slid in a little if need be.

    Im using a jbj 65x2 light that was said to be really good for corals and fish for a tank about that size. Im just starting out with it, but i think i paid around 200 for it.

    I like the lighting it gives off, but you dont get that "shimmering effect" on the sand and rock...

    Those legs can slide an inch or two in either direction but flipable meanes that you can raise in to get in for maintenance.

    If your tank is within 34" and 36" they should work

    The tank is exactly 30". I have been looking all day for lights. I know I want T5. Where is a good place to buy online? I'm seriously going blind from reading all this crap. lol

    I also saw these lights. I wasn't really wanting to spend that much money, but it's starting to seem like I'm going to have to. I really need to get them asap cause of the carpet anemone. Even though he seems to be doing good today. Dominos love him and I think he feels the same way.

    I was also trying to find something with more watts or is that enough?

    you can get a 36" (2) 36" T5 HO 39W 460/460 (2) 36" T5 HO 39W 700+ and (4) 1w Lunar LED's with a timer for around $260-$300
