Starting Over

I lost my Green Clown Gobie last night after 2 weeks. I have noticed my Yellow Clown Gobie has been getting Whiter and Whiter. Upon further close inspection. He was covered in Ich. I have lost several fish in this tank. Bad luck since I started it. I only had 1 zoa frag in there, so I went to my store and got some Kordons ich be gone. I have saved several fish at the store with this stuff. I came home and set up a hostital tank with fresh saltwater and meds. While he was soaking, I took all the rocks out and boiled them. Cleaned tank and put in new live sand. moved the frags to a dish on the window sill. He survived the copper bath and is bright yellow again. I re-assembled the tank, and put him back in. I hope he makes it. I am getting a better light for this picotope at the end of the week. This tank has been a nightmare from the get go. Maybe a fresh start is what it needed. I put 1 small rock covered with coraline from the 150 to seed the tank. just gonna let it ride for awhile.:-/

Glad yours is on the up and up!!! I almost said the hell with it. But then I decided to use it as a "Teachable Moment" hahahaha. I will get better at it. A small tank is a bigger challenge, I knew that going in. Thanks for the support!

 

Sucks cause I was just about done with the Diatoms and Hair Algae. Was even getting some good Coraline.....Oh well, I will trade healthy for that anyday.
