some of my snails keep going to the upper left corner and sit halfway out of the water, is this a sign of inadequate water conditions? and i believe i have zoas if so how do i get them to spread?

that kinda looks like the mat of star tpolyps. if so, they will spread easilky. and my snails do the same thing , but eventually work their way back down the tank

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Do you know what type of snails they are ?

How are the parameters of your tank ? SG, pH, temp.....

I can not be sure those are zoanthids because they are closed so tight. To get zoanthids to spread you just need good water parameters and good lighting and decent placement within the tank. They are one of the easier corals to grow.

A full tank shoot and the type lighting will help to assist your further. ;D

Based on the description, sounds like Nerites. That's typical. They live in the tidal zones in nature.

The pic, to me, looks like nerite eggs, not zoas. And that reinforces that these are nerites you're dealing with.

Those look way too big to be nerite eggs! Well, unless that's a really tiny rock (or giant nerites) LOL.

My snails are always coming out of the water. It's normal and they will go back down when they feel like it. I always tell them they are supposed to be down in the tank cleaning it! ;)
