just ordered bunch of snails from reecleaners.
Quick question though. I once had a pretty big nassarius snail, but I noticed one day my hermit ate it and made it his home, this was like last year.

I have like 8 hermits in there blue legged ones. Will all of them eat all the snails? I currently have 2 turbo snails which have been around for 2 years now.

I had one blue leg hermit crab for three years. He ate around 8 turbo snails until he found a shell he finally liked. But it could have been because he was hungry as well. I have two turbo snails left. Never know with hermit crabs imo.

    +1 on above

its not 100% certain they will eat the snails
sometimes they drag them out just for the shell IME if they are cramped but not hungry at the time

having some spare shells laying around is a good idea, I have 2 or 3 empty Turbo shells in my tank for just such occasions , and some hermits do tend to try out a shell for a few days and then change to another 1 if others are available IME
