I just setup my protein skimmer and it's supposed to run for a while to "break in". I have to leave for work shortly. If the cup fills up with water, will my cup runneth over? Or will it just overflow back down the center tube? I'm guessing it won't overflow but I'd like to know before I come home to a wet living room.

On my Aqua C EV180 I have my cup attached to a hose that takes the bulk of the skimmate and places it into a big container separate from the original skimmer cup that came with the skimmer. This way I won't have a problem when my skimmer removes too much skimmate. Piece of mind!!!

oh, ok. not familiar with it, but I am sure this info will help someone who has it :)

I have an aquac Remora, and I let it run all the way to the top and dont think it will overflow.. once it reaches the water top of the tube, i think anything else will start draining back down into the skimmer and then the tank

Well, I found out...it will overflow. I opened up the airvalve a bit more and it's not foaming quite as much. I'll check its progress before I leave in an hour.
