I have two pure bred siberian huskies. They are awesome dogs, but they are a handful. Before I got my first one, I got a book called "Siberian Huskies for Dummies". It tells you everything! Definately get one. They are IMO, the best dogs in the world. I can't imagine not having them now. I will always have them. If you have any specific questions about them, feel free to contact me. I have even bred them. Good luck to you!

After reading the previous posts, I would say that you need to be very careful with your cat. I had cats when I got my first puppy. She was raised with them, but she was, what anyone else would interpret as aggressive, but to her was playful. They will kill cats and small animals, even as a puppy. They are not good with cats. But then again, every dog has a different personality. And I have read like you, that they can be raised with them and be fine. So, someone has had success with it. I just wanted to warn you to becareful. Do not leave them alone together, and make sure the cat has a safe place where the dog can't get. IMHO

Thanks for your advice. My son has already got and read that book. I think I will read it also. I know I am taking a chance with the cat. I am planing on crate training the dog, so the cat will have complete run of the house from time to time.

Wow, beautiful lil dog. I was going to get one a while back, but decided to go with a couple beagles because of my little brother and sister.
