I bought a feather duster, pretty nice one too, but it won't come out during the day it stays inside its tunnel, but it does come out at night. I'm guessing it has eyes, also that it doesn't like me. I find this strange because, that I'm aware of, feather dusters don't usually hide. Is there a problem?

I only have a foxface and a yellow tang (thanks to my old trigger) and I've never seen being picked on.

Those are the 2 fish that picked at my feather. After awhile they got bored with it. Also the longer your feather is with you, the braver he will get. I literally have to bump him to make him go in while I am cleaning to get him out of the way.

Once he gets used to his surroundings he'll come out durning the day. Ours is out durning the day when you put your hands in there he'll go into his tube and once you take your hands out of the tank he comes out. Our fish don't seem to bother him our large hermit crab that we gave up for adoption used to climb on him our little blue leg hermit crabs don't bother him. Feather Dusters are neat.
