shrimp compatibility?

    i have a coral banded shrimp atm and was wondering if i could put a pistol shrimp with it?

    It can always go either way with shrimp. If your tank is big enough, they should both establish their own territory and leave each other alone.

    mmm, dunno. Both can be aggressive to others of their kind.

    I have a pistol in a 55 with 3 peppermints and 2 cleaners, but the pistol will never get over an 1 1/2" and the bigger shrimp don't bug him because they're not aggressive.

    lfs stor told me shrimp are territorial and not to mix shrimp. i had another shrimp in the tank cant remember what it was but we found it dead:( .

    I have 2 pistols shrimps (one with a goby), 2 cleaners, A fire shrimp, 3 peppermints and a coral banded. They each have their own area. Although mine is a 155 gal. The pistol, unless guided by a goby, will not venture too far from its spot. So its territory is very small.

    I wouldnt add another shrimp. There would be a decent risk for agression

    If he'd said a 150 gallon tank, I would've said yes LOL.
