The return, the PVC in the 4th pic, was moved to the other side of the tank since I took this picture, but it's still the same. I have only a fuge; no skimmer, and no "return" section down there, because my tank has a partitioned back area containing the other equipment.

2" for the sump, 1.5" for the closed loop.

here, the closed loop is the back two pipes. all this goes thru a hole the size of a standard floor HVAC vent.

I have a 75 gallon tank with a closed loop and a 35 gallon Fuge and 50 gallon Sump. My tank sits up on a stand that I built with the intentions of eventually having a 8' L x 3'W x 30"D Custom tank....or if that never happens I can make into a Killer Bar!

This is mostly the closed loop plumbing.

A little bit of a different View of the closed loop.

Here is the drain to the fuge (straight Ahead) and to the Sump (to the right). The water coming out of my overflow is split, 1/2 goes into my Fuge which drains into my sump and the other 1/2 into my sump which is returned to the tank via a Mag 7 pump.

The tank next to Sump is the Fuge/ Sump for my seahorse tank.

My Gravity Fed ATO which actually now has two 5 gallon buckets that are connected.
