    So, I am wanting to get some inspiration. I have a 55 gallon with that oh so difficult shallow front to back. I would really dig it if you guys could post pictures of your 55's! Chat about ideas, tips or struggles while build up your tank! So, let's see them!

    Yes, the lack of depth can limit the front substrate access. I have just resolved to making mine more of a wall type reef;

    I have "the wall" too. Just couldn't help it with the size of my rock from my old 38 gallon. Getting very light rock is great cuz you get more per pound, but it doesn't help any when trying to put it into a 55 gallon tank LOL. I originally had 75 lbs & added 15 more of the same rock. Fortunately, I have a good sized sump so I got to take some out for down there.

    It's been up since late October, so all we have so far are emeralds, hermits, and snails. My boyfriend was really impatient until he got the emeralds & hermits, now he's in no hurry thankfully!. He's already talking about a 150 or 210 replacement next year LMAO.
