So I picked up a sand sifter and a serpent star about a week or so ago, and as soon as the SS hit the bottom he disappeared, which I expected, and I haven't seen him since. The serpent I would see a leg once in awhile wrapped around a rock, but only for the first day or so. I figure my SS star is under the DSB doing his thing, but should I expect to see my serpent star ever? He's so cool looking, I was hoping he would come out more, kind of concerned I haven't' seen him in almost a week...

micro-brittlestars are a different species of ophiuroid than the larger brittle/serpent stars

stars are nocturnal hunters but you can draw him out of the rocks with some shrimp or other meaty seafood. Look for it at night when the lights are out.:)

I have a black and tan serpent in my 200g. It's a neat little critter that I see most days.
