Sand in sump

    I was just curious if you guys would put live sand in the bottom of a sump if you werent planning on making it a fuge?

    If you don't have a separate chamber for a fuge I would not put sand down there, it will just be another thing to maintain or it will become a nutrient trap. It also will risk getting sucked through pumps down there.
