sand bed question

I wana do about 1-2 in sand bed in my dt and in my fug I wana go an even 5

want to have mangroves and cheato in the fug to propgate pops I want to put in The fug with my CUC and I will have a CUC in my dt with a goby/pistol shrimp combo.

sorry the question was is a 2in or less sand bed safe in DT with a CUC with plenty of sand shifter type CUC's

Yep its actually preferred unless you want sand dwelling fish. Some people run into deep sand bed problems in the long long run

 

i would leave out the true sand sifters. They can remove all of your fauna and usually end up starving. i like the idea of the 2 in the dt and 5 in the fuge. Like ontop27 said, make sure you don't want any fish that sleep in the sand like some wrasses.
