Wanted to know if anyone uses this. Not sure if Iam reading it right. when adding ca-3 it is a 1ml syringe . With it full i dropped it until it turned blue. Which there was .25 left in syringe. So i used three quarters of ca-3 . The formula is ppm=( 1 - reading in graph) x 500 . Not sure how to do this. My question is if you add that much of ca-3 , does that mean its low cal. or does that indicate high cal. levels, ph is 8.4 alk. 2.8 temp 80 tank size 180 . thanks for any help on this , chris003

I have the same kit your readings are .25 of CA3 left in the syringe =375 cal in ppm
the 500x your reading is instead of reading the CA3 left in the syringe you take the reading that is used. That would be .75 x 500 and that = 375 also.

    Hope this helps
