so I've been told that I should not drink rodi water, and that I should only drink ro water. I'm wondering if this is true and why? do I really need a T before the di filter for the house water?

Because it has essential elements taken out that our bodies need to help hydrate us. If you were to drink it...it would be tasteless and not as healthy as other water. We use it in our tanks because it takes out certain elements that would cause our ecosystems to collapse and then we add what we need by using the salt we buy or adding other elements need be.

Yea i've read that about RODI as well from multiple sources. I dont understand why but i agree with it :p so i just drink RO. However, i think RO strips fluoride from the water which your teeth want ;D

Don't DRINK RODI WATER!!! As stated before by PetMother, the needed minerals that our body needs have been removed. If you need RO water for drinking, then T off before your DI canister(s). For drinking, after your membrain you should have your RO water pass through a carbon filter for taste.

ok so just saying "don't do it" is not how I work. As I said I'm a weird person when it comes to health, it might be really good for me to drink striped water, but that's not the point or my question. Anyone know what is being taken out of the water in that last 7-10 ppm? This is a question for some one that knows a lot about water not just anyone that has an rodi system and read the little info that you get when looking them up, I did that thank you.

Just an FYI.... there are alot of other ways to get the minerals required...... water is not your sole source for these. I drink it and it deffinately isnt poison. Makes great coffee when the sole source of flavour comes from the ions you put into that cup. The remainder of the 7-10 tds is anything that is too small for the RO to remove. Hence the DI to suck up the rest.

The only way RODI water would be harmful was if it was the only thing you ate or drank for long periods of time. Otherwise, you're getting the other minerals you need from the food you eat.
