rip naso tang

so im sitting here typing away like i have been for most of the day and i look over randomly at my tank and i see my naso tang wedged between to pieces of live rock. after investigating, hes dead. nothing in the tank can pick on him and all my parameters are good. he simply wedged himself and couldn't get out. i have no idea how long he has been there. he actually did this a month and a half ago but i noticed him squirming and moved the rock. he was trying so hard to free himself that i was sure he was going to hurt himself if i didn't intervene. This time, he wasn't so fortunate. it was my favorite piece in the whole tank. has this ever happened to anybody else?

 

I've never experienced anything like this but Im very sorry about your loss.

sorry for your loss. The only thing I've experienced that comes close is when the water in my tank was overflowing. I turned off the pump and checked the overflowbox and I found my small niger trigger blocking the drain to the sump. I don't know how he got past the overflow's teeth or the the u-tube, but he got there. Luckily he didn't go down the drain, and he is still alive today.
