My orange spotted watchman has been in and out hiding the last couple days. Today I find him at the bottom of the tank barely breathing. Looks like he is melting (I am afraid of a PH issue). My other fish have been scratching a little but don't show any signs. He shows no signs of ich or anything either. Nothing has changed in the tank.
I will run params tonight when I get home from work. I am pretty sure he is a goner. My fiance is upset. I bought him for her. He was really cool. He would lay over on his side and let the peppermint shrimp clean him.
I was just talking last night how good he ate and how good he was doing in someone else's post. How long do gobys get? He was about 4.5 inches long or so. I was thinking he was fairly old. I havent had him for just a few months. Anyway... :-(

No.. not at all. He ate marine cuisine pretty well. Rarely saw him needing to filter the sand.

Me too... I had crushed coral in my tank. I was afraid it was cutting him up possibly.
    I have heard of this.

Could it be that he was just old? I dont know how long gobys get. He seemed big to me?
His skin looked pale and he had slime on him (looked like he was peeling), when I left for work. When the shrimps touched him he would swim violently but not get anywhere.
The last few days I saw him up on the rocks instead of on the bottom. He would completely disappear for a few hours. The only addition is an urchin but he hasnt even been near the bottom. Been on the back glass
