    Marlinman,
Thanks for the comments about the fish. I can see my Yellow Tang getting bossier over a period of time, but actually, he has mellowed out over the past few months as the purple one keeps him in check. The tangs have not bothered the other fish so far. The tangs get a lot of nori every alternate days, and occasionally blanched broccoli, cilantro, parsley, and dry garlic flakes (rehydrated). Regularly, everyone gets Ocean Nutrition Reef Flakes, Hikari Marine Pellets, frozen mysis, and angel & butterfly frozen formula. I vary the diet for optimum health, and intense colouration. My Yellow Tang glows like the sun, and the purple tang is so intensely purple, he's almost black!!!

The LED moonlights did come with brackets, but since they were not SS, I opted for the double sided tape. I doubt they will every come off, I have pulled on them hard enough just to test them. Thank you 3M division of adhesives.;D

If they are plastic they won't rust. Just make sure you get the right sized screw (L & W) and it would be safer. You never want to have anything fall in your tank. If you decide not than check it periodically. Screw size #4 x 5/8" is a good size as it won't split the plastic bracket.:)

Rarely have I seen a 55g with a built in overflow. Looks nice. Can't wait to see some purple on the surfaces of your tank. Do you do any Ca, KH or Mg dosing? What kind of salt are you using? No protein skimmer yet? I'd add some more live rock to give those large tangs some more grazing area. This will allow you to feed less and keep the water even cleaner. That is a very clean looking tank. What is it's age?

Here is the easy way...take you length x width x your height= < >cubic inches.
Now multiply that by: 0.004 329 and you have your gallons.

Or you can just got to: Online Conversion - Volume Conversion
