Hi guys so my tank cycled and i checked the salintiy, nitrates, ammoniea and photscarpes. Everything is good. My blue leged hermit crabs are moving and doing well. My big snail that i brought today were moving but they flipped over a few times and now they aren't moving. do then stop in one area for a while.

What types of snails are they?

My snails are a lot more active at night. If I see one is on the sand bed and has not moved in a couple days I usually look to see if they died.

In larger tanks with a good CUC a snails death is nothing to worry about, but in nano's and picos it's best to remove them before they decay IMO.

ceriths will bury themselves in the sand, the turbo should be able to right itself, give them time since you just got them today they need to acclimate to your tank.

I have never had an issue with either of those types of snail being unable to right themselves on the sand bed.

The operculum usually falls off and the body falls out and they smell very very bad. If the operculum is closed there is a good chance they are still alive
