In an effort not to jack someone else's thread...

I have a 150 gal Oceanic tank that I've been procrastinating about b/c the middle pane of glass in the top fell out. I purchased it like this, but then I got to thinking "that partition had to be there for a reason." I know it's a good tank but my question is, will I have to worry about breakage or bowing due to the weight of the water b/c that pane of glass isn't there? I was reading another thread about removing trim and reinforcing with euro-bracing (which I'm researching). The trim is still present, I just don't know about any support this middle piece would have provided.

I would not trust any tank that was missing structural pieces. Repair or replace that piece before using the tank it was there for a reason, not just for looks.
