hey trying to change my substrate, to a fully astablished 90 gallon reef tank. I currently have a crushed coral substrate and want to chang it to a fine grade sand. Choud I take the fish out when doin this or take out a little of my substrate out at a time with a water change? Next question is, do u know where i can get the sand in bulk or do i have to buy 9 bags? thnk you.

Your plan of changing some with each water change is a good way to go.

You should be able to find 30lb bags on dry aragonite at Petsmart or online. I think Carib-Sea is the brand.
