quick question about pump

    Would a mag drive 7 be enough to push water up about 4.5 feet at at least 300 gal/hr? Thanks

    i would say yes, but its been a while since i did the math for pumps.

    i think its every foot in a 1 inch hose you lose 100gph. for a 1/2 inch hose it would be 50gph you lose.
    so i guess it depends how big you hose is.

    i put it in a calc at 5 feet in a straight pipe its 400 gph left

    ok cool. my hose i guess will be 1/2 in as that is what the outlet of the pump is. Thanks.

    Yes, it will be more than enough. Be sure to plumb a valve.
