hey everybody, currently i have a 20 long with 2 30" corallife t5 bulbs and 2 hydor koralia 1 powerhead for 800gph flow.

i am upgrading to a 40b and doing it right, i have a novapro extreme pro 36" 6 bulb t5 set, i am going to run a 30 gallon sump under the stand, still picking a few things out, i will continue to use my HOB skimmer until i have extra money for a skimmer. i am stuck on powerheads right now, i want to get the new koralia evo's but i am not sure which ones to choose, i am stuck between 2 of the 750 gph's or 2 of the 1050's, for the return on my sump i am going to use an eheim 1250 that has 317, i want very slow flow going through there. what would you choose?

also need 2 100 watt heaters, not sure on what to get for these, would like something that is very easy to control, suggestions welcome.

let me know your thoughts :)

I would do two 750s as the breeder is 36" long I believe, could be wrong. I think you may have issues with your substrate if the stronger phs are used, but you may not. Maybe get 1050 and one 750.

I agree with Guitarman but just wanted to make sure you keep your livestock in mind. If you're going to be keeping all soft coral you probably want to go on the lower end, if you're thinking about keeping a lot of SPS then going with the large PH's might be better.

I upgraded my old koralias to 2 evo 750's...and it was not really enough flow for me. I've replaced one with a 1050 which has helped a good amount. However, I will probably replace the other with another 1050 once I get a controller/wavemaker.

I would recommend one 750 and one 1050;D

i am going to be doing mainly LPS, all of my corals are going to transfer from my current tank, one isolated mushroom so i dont lose control haha, an isolated rock with GSP and another softie i cannot remember, a ricordia mushroom, a red brain, a trachy, a candycane, 4 acans, a grape hammer, going to try a couple kinds of SPS, but no acros since they need too much flow.

bringing 3 fish, 2 picasso clowns and a tail spot blenny

future corals are 1-2 scolys, favia and more acans.
