Hey guys i picked up a pulsing xenia today. My question is I had a regular Xenia like 8 months ago, but it melted away while my other coral were doing fine, and water param was perfect. Any idea why xenia randomly melts away? Any suggestion on how i can prevent this from melting away?

Could be flow or light. What kind of lighting do you have?
Also if your water is too clean they won't do that well. Or so I've heard. Mine grow like weeds but my n03 and p04 are 0's.
Xenia is one of those 'easy' corals that do great in some systems and will not grow or just melt away in others.

You should probably move them up as high on the rocks a you can get them. Make sure it's a spot with a good 'medium' flow. If you are considering more corals you might want to check into some of the BC diy mods or retrofit kits imo.

Iodine is important as well for xenias. Do you do frequent water changes to replenish trace elements or dose at all?
