Q about frag tank

So i am probably going to HD soon to pick up some egg crate and PVC.

But does it matter what type of eggcrate? Black or white? I like white better. And also what about the PVC? Do i have to do anything to it before i put in the tank? or can i add it straight away? and does it have to be a certain size.

 

I have white egg crate. I made a thread about black or white egg crate and saw that is really doesn't matter. They say that black will not attract algae but i dont really believe that! The certain size is just what can fit into your tank and yes, you can add it straight to your tank after you wash it off with some water ( get the dust off). I asked them if they have egg crate and they had no idea what i was talking about. You kinda have to find it your self but dont give up. It will be behind all the fans and hanging lights (if you know what i mean). It comes in HUGE sheets which kinda stinks but its only like $11.99 so not that bad. Have fun!

What about the PVC does it matter how big?

 

i would wash the pvc just to be safe, also i would use black egg crate white shows algae very easily and looks bad imo

 

Strange! At my store it is called egg crate! With PVC i don't really know what you mean or how you want to use it. I took a 1 foot long PVC and cut it into 1/4 and stuck those under the crate like 4 legs.
