I have the plumbing done from my bottom drilled 90 gallon tank using rigid PVC. However, I don't like that the plumbing currently is supported by the bulkheads and would like to add reinforcement.

I am wondering if anyone has any simple but elegant ways to reinforce the plumbing. So for all I've got in my head is zipties and screws :)

There are a variety of pipe straps and clamps that might work for you. Or at least give you ideas on how to DIY something.

you can get little u shapped brackets that screw into your stand around the pvc to support it.
for what its worth ive never been overly worried about this though. mine runs from my pump around the back of the stand and then into the tank and i have no issues

if all your plumbing is doing is going from the pump through a few 90s and then into the bulkhead i dont see any reason to go overboard with supporting it.

In the electric section at Lowes they have some nice pvc clamps.

Be careful if you start mounting the pipework to your stand, as you can end up tranferring vibration/noise to the tank and/or the space in the stand will amplify it enuff to bug you.

FWIW, I never support most of my plumbing jobs, and have never had any trouble.

    That's a good point.

I'm mainly concerned just from what side of my plumbing. It's got a long horizontal section, and I can see it being somewhat heavy filled with water. I think if I put a single support in the middle of that I should be safe without too much vibration.

Use some neoprene around the pipe a if you use a U-clamp. It should help deaden the vibe.
