pump problem

    I have a Blue Max 850 GPH pump. I occasionally will unplug it to get the film that is on the top of the water to go into the overflow. When i plug the pump back in it sometimes does not come back on. I have to wait and plug it back in or take it out of the sump and turn the propeller. Sometimes it works... sometimes it does not. I called the LFS and he said I should not be unplugging the pump and that it should just run 25/7. Is this common for a pump not to come back on after plugging it back in? I think its a POS personally ;D

    i think u should clean it good take it apart .and my pumps run 24/7 so that shouldnt be the issue but just clean it good and try that
