Im using Pukani in my 125g fowlr and was wondering how many pounds I should get. I have 24lbs and ordered 52 more, so 76 pounds total. Its so porous that 24 pounds looks like more and I dont think I can use the pound per gallon rule. Just wondering if anyone had experience with pukani.

If what you say is true 76 pounds might be just right.

While I dont have any myself from all I read most people end up with around 60-75% of the lb per gallon thing. So your looking about right with 75lbs or so.

Sweet hopefully it works out ok. Brs has free shipping on orders over $175 and 52 lbs was $176. So I hope I dont need to buy more.

i ordered 50lbs (got about 58lbs) for my 65g and it was way overkill. only ended up using about 40 and then took even more out for a minimal approach on aquascaping. i prob have about 30 lbs or so and thats it.

ive read up on it a few times and have seen people usually putting 40-45 lbs in a 65 gallon tank so like stated above if you do 60-75% lbs per gallon you should be fine

Well I got my tracking info a few mins ago, it say 2 packages for a combined weight of 66lbs. I ordered 52lbs, IDK about yall but dont think cardboard weighs 14lbs.

mine came in a huge box with packing peanuts and each rock was individually bagged. they always throw some extra lbs in in case some break during the trip. most likely you will have way more than enough.
