    Hey all , A mate of mine just purchased a prizim skimmer by red sea . Does anyone have one here at all . Could you also give me some tips on not being so noisy!8)

    ...to add to the sarcasm, Go in another room!...I dont know how much noise its making compared to other skimmers, my aqua c remora makes a decent amount of noise, but that comes with blowing thousands of micro bubbles into water, really no way around it, anyone want to start a business selling skimmer mufflers...

    they are just loud and there isn't to much you can do turn the air down i had one and didn't have to good of results

    Ok I used one on my QT tank.Got it used for cheap.
    What I did was put the air intake hose on the right little nipple pointing down on the cup.
    Then just pop up ur cup lid open a little to let a bit of air in.
    Make sure the hole isn't gunked up with crap in it too. My buddy's hole wasn't even open. It had the plastic blocking the opening. What he did was take a piece of wire/coat hanger heat it up and poke it through.
    This will make it a little better, but not much.

    thanks mate , ill do that !!! i cant find a muffler for this style of skimmer !! maybe a truck exhaust will do!!::)
