    Why do people keep insisting on boiling rock! I don't know how many times I've posted that is a really bad idea, yet people keep recommending others do so.... First it does nothing, it does not remove bound phosphate, or other metals and may actually further bind some organically. Also, it vaporizes everything. Zoos aren't the only organisms that contain palytoxin, so can some dinoflagellates, you may not even know are there. Also, all sorts of algae, contain all sorts of nasty toxins. never, ever, vaporize rock, bleach works much, much better, and is sooooo much safer....

    thats really scary. I have been told to and have boiled rock before... guess I was lucky
