    Hi,
Have slightly changed my original plumbing plan, and as I've never plumbed a tank (or anything lol) before, wouldnt mind someone checking it over. am a little torn on which tank to use atm, but wont be bigger than 80gal

    questions:
    1. will two 1" overflows be enough?
    2. will a hoffer gurgle buster setup work through the back wall with an upstand shorter than 5" long? i want something rather quiet, but dont want to go full bean
    3. should i feed my fuge from both overflows or will a tee from one be enough?
    4. should i split the return in the tank to mix up the flow a bit?
am planing on getting a 3/4" return kit from glass-holes.com, and two 1" bulkheads for the overflows. the overflow kits seem a bit too loud :-/

***as a side note, glass-holes.com are aweseome!***
have had trouble finding bulkheads locally and even after shipping theyre prices works our alot cheaper for alot more product. problem was, they didnt ship to Australia :( sent them a quick message asking if they would, and a few HOURS later, they updated the checkout on their website to include all Australias details and gave me a shipping cost! ;D I thought that level of customer service was loooong gone. very impressed.***

    thanks for reading

    Drawing looks great.

Tee off to supply the fuge.

1" are good for 300gph in a perfect world.

The overflows will will handle how ever much comes from the return as long as the return flow does not excede the operating capacity of the overflows.

Impressive drawings. That setup looks almost exactly like mine. I use internal overflows though, and I have 2 x 3/4" returns.

I see no issues with the way you have it. My fuge is split off a single overflow and it works very well.

thanks guys, glad you like the drawing. have had a bit of practice, just never aquarium related :)

will try and aim for a return slightly under the 300 then just incase one of them clogs.

are you internals like the glass holes ones? how do you find the noise?
i could go 2 of their 1" super nanos, but have no idea how loud they would be. the tank will probably be going in the dining/lounge so i want to keep it as quiet as possible.

would 1 x 700gph overflow be better than the 2 x 300gph lines, or do you really need the redundancy of 2 lines?
am starting to lean towards the one internal overflow just for easier installation and to save some money.
