    Hey All,

We are thinking about getting a couple angels at the same time, the flame angel and the bicolor. However, we have a reef tank with polyps, soft coral, and two rose bud anenomes. Most websites say they may nibble on this stuff, we were wondering what you have experienced. We had a blue face angel and had to part with it because it was eating everything, I can not bear to get another one and give it up. What do you think?

i have a flame angel and a coral beauty. it took a night with lights out early for them to get along with each other. but as far as them going after my corals. i havent had any problem whatsoever. they spend their time picking away at everything else in the tank, but havent nipped any corals

Just remember you will be taking a chance with any of them.

I have a Lemon Peel and so far has never picked on anything in the tank.

But of course there is always a chance.

I have a coral beauty in my tank, he never touches anything. There's a bunch of polyps and shrooms in there, as well as a sebae anemone, but he stays clear of all of it.

Hi, I can verify from personal experience the negatives being mentioned by Scenario and Chris

I have had, over the years and in various tanks 1 x flame, 2 x coral beauties, I x fireball and 1 x rusty ( never more than 1 in any tank at the same time just to make that clear)

all of them, everyone one of them, has picked at certain coral species

the rusty was the least troublesome, and seemed to only peck at corals placed in after he was put in, he ignored the residents, but regarded everything that was put in new as potential food

guess they havent done any damage because of the severe scolding i gave them before putting them in the tank. or the toilet bowl flush is still going through their little brains. lol.

Maybe I should try that divott!! ha

Thank you all for the quick replies. I believe we are going to try it and see what happens, keep our fingers crossed. It seems like all the fish I like eat coral or are too big for our tank (54 ga bowfront), its a little frustrating at times!
