Brings back fond members of when I went to the aquarium in 1998 to have Charles Delbeek sign my copy of The Reef Aquarium. I went to the front desk and asked if Mr. Delbeek was in, to my surprise someone actually went and tracked him down. He proceeded to not only sign the book but give me a personal tour. One of my fondest memories Hunter.

I have quite a few sigs. I have Joyce Wilkersons :-/

None meant as much those as Charles Delbeeks though. Copyright was 1994, I had just gotten my first large system and The Reef Aquarium I. I took that book to Hawaii with me while my big tank cycled back home.

While many parts of the book are now dated I probably read it 20 times the 1st couple years and went on to buy volume II and III.

We viewed the sunlight tanks, the Euphyllia tanks, we talked about their old Tridacnas (huge). It was behind the scenes and I learned a ton of stuff in a short time.

If anyone gets a chance to go to Wikikki aquarium it's a must do. They have a huge outdoor sun only lighting bailing sps tank that is mind blowing.
