What was the problem? Was it not holding water?

The counter top guys cracked it. The top was a hair to big and they pushed a little too hard. Cracked the left hand pane.

Good to see you posting progress again. I hope the counter top guys had to pay for the new one....

+1. That aweful. A tank that size must be expensive.

It all worked out in the end. I bought the old tank used and it wasn't set-up the way I would have liked so I got to correct all that with the building of the new tank.

    A small update for today.

The tank arrived, it has a black back, acrylic overlow cover, black silicone, starfire front. I have it stored in the garage until I can get enough guys together to get it down stairs.

    The sump is mosly complete.

Here's the faux fish room I built. It isn't attched to the tank in anyway, just a place in the basement for fish related tasks.

For those of you with a weak stomach proceed with caution.. ;D
The removal of the old tank...

You know people are going to ask. What did you do with all the good parts of the tank? I like the new tank and sump.

There are no good parts left. The entire tank left my house in five gallon pails. I didn't figure it worth my time to get a bunch of guys together to get it out of the house.

Finally got the tank into the basement, it was a bit of a chore:

    Here is the basic layout:

Where the equipment will sit, i'll be putting a shelf in to keep everything off the cement:

The right side, all the pumps will be located behind this door:

I started the plumbing and light rack.. both should be finished in the next next week or so...
