I have searched around and haven't been able to find out how exactly to hook up an ozone generator, other than I know I need to run it through carbon to keep the toxins under control- I have a brs carbon reactor and a reef octopus xs 160 skimmer, I've read either a skimmer or reactor can be used but how exactly does it hook into a carbon reactor, or do I need a separate carbon reactor just for the ozone?

Connect an air-pump to the Ozone inlet, connect the ozone output to the skimmer air intake (such as on a coralife skimmer). Let the skimmer output flow over a carbon bag and you are set.

Ok thanks- I read some people putting carbon on/in the skim cup to run the excess air through carbon, is that needed?

I don't think its necessary - I do not do it. Many people are concerned with the ozone being in their homes....thus the carbon. I have mine in the basement, perhaps if it were in my living area I might think differently. But I also use fans to draw fresh air from outside over the sump (which of course houses my skimmer and ozone)
