oxygen question

    Two questions that I have. (1) Where does the bio cube get oxygen from? is it from the movement of the water. (2) Has anyone used the hydor aeroator 4 with any sucsess in a fresh water or reef tank?

    From the ambient environment and yes, from water movement that is associated with disturbances at the surface(air/water Interface). Also from photosynthesis-plants etc.
    Bubbles from the protein skimmer also

    I run a small "quiet" (whisper) air pump to stone in rear compartment. --- just making sure tank is getting enough O2 - can't hurt...
