so im overstocked right now, two B/W clowns in an 8 gal tank, both are about 1.25 inches, im ontop of water changes, 3/4 cups of saltwater everyday. i was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes till 8 gallons actually becomes too big for them?

most clowns only actually use 10 gallons of water in the tank for swimming and thats when they are full grown, so seeing as mine are pretty small, how long would this be ok for?

Btw params are ok for now, just had a salinity issue but thats being slowly solved

    IMHO

Because clowns do tend to stay in 1 place a lot of the time (when hosting they dont go far at all IME )
I would say that as long as your on top of water quality and during periods of hot weather can ensure oxygen levels do not become an issue
they would be fine in there for a very long time

how long ? I dont know
would they have a longer life in a larger tank? I dont know

but IMHO - 2 clowns in an 8 gallon tank, with good quality and well oxygenated water
is not something that would give me any moral concerns to be honest.

*whew* thats a relief, i hate the unfairness for the fish of being crowded but, they are showing signs of pairing, and also signs of hosting so they really dont move around that much. i just couldnt pass them up at the lfs

3/4 cups of saltwater for WC's everyday? I have a 10 gallon and 2 1 gallon a week. Not sure if thats bad for your tank but seems weird IMO.

Interesting. If you do a 3/4 water chage daily, do you top off with fresh? How long have you been doing that?
